For Employers

Are you an employer?

If so, then these pages are for you!

Windsor-Essex County is an incredibly diverse region that is made up of people from around the world. The people who have immigrated to our region bring with them incredibly valuable skills, insight and expertise that can be of great benefit to you and encourage innovation within your organization. If you haven’t considered hiring an immigrant, then now is the time to start thinking about it to make sure that your organization isn’t missing out on connecting with this talent pool.

If you are in a regulated profession or require a license or certificate for your industry, consider hiring a skilled immigrant at an associate level to begin. This will allow the individual to begin working while the licensure requirements are being processed.

Resources and Programs

As an employer, you may have some questions when it comes to hiring immigrants. The Hireimmigrants.ca Roadmap is a tool that may be useful for you to use as you recruit skilled immigrants.

This training will help to equip you and your staff in ensuring that your workplace is a welcoming community.
