High School

  • The Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board International Education Program offers special programs such as the International Baccalaureate, Specialist High Skills Major, French Immersion and ESL support for your child. This program offers a number of additional support services to assist your child as they adjust to life in Canada. Through Canada Homestay International your child will be able to live with a Canadian family that they are compatible with as they make the transition to life in Canada.
  • The Greater Essex County District School Board invites students from around the world to experience learning and life in Windsor and Essex County.Their schools and programs reflect the success of  Ontario's public education in global rankings. It is an opportunity to enhance language skills and enjoy Canada's culture in a welcoming and diverse community.
  • The Conseil scolaire Providence prepares students to enter all the universities and colleges in Canada. At the secondary level, students not only enrol in French courses, but also the English courses that are required to enter anglophone institutions. Newcomer students can take English as a second language courses. These students are bilingual and several students decide to add another language, such Spanish, to their course list.

The University of Windsor

The University of Windsor welcomes students from across the globe. The International Student Centre is part of the university and is there to support and guide you from start to finish as you go through the process of becoming an international student.

The Centre for English Language Development offers a variety of English language improvement programs that can help you as you seek to improve your English.

St. Clair College

Through the International Development Office, St. Clair College encourages International Students to choose Windsor-Essex as their destination for higher learning. St. Clair College has an arrival guide for both their Windsor and Thames (Chatham-Kent) campus locations that will help you as you prepare for a smooth arrival in Windsor-Essex County.
