University of Windsor

Windsor-Essex is home to the University of Windsor. The 16,500 students at the University of Windsor are enrolled in programs from Law to Social Work, Music to Engineering. The University of Windsor offers 190 undergraduate programs, 65 graduate programs and 6 professional programs.

Students from around the world choose to study at the University of Windsor and international students make up 11% of the student body. These students are offered support through the International Student Centre.

The 524 faculty members are there to help you as you further and meet your educational goals. This is made possible with a student/faculty ratio of 26:1.

Some students appreciate the University of Windsor’s convenient location that allows them to commute to classes, while other students take advantage of the opportunities to live in residence on campus.

University of Ottawa

Windsor-Essex County has an English and a French college: St. Clair College and Collège Boréal.

St. Clair College of Arts and Applied Technology

St. Clair College of Arts and Applied Technology has about 6,500 full-time and 14,000 part-time students.


St. Clair College has 4 locations and 3 of them are located in Windsor. The Windsor campus includes on-campus student residence, a pool, a gym, and varsity sports programs. The St. Clair Centre for the Arts offers courses from the School of Media, Art and Design, Border Services and Paralegal programs. The MediaPlex is 1 of 3 MediaPlexes in the world. This space for a unique journalism program is a state of the art facility that allows students to advance their skills in journalism. St. Clair College has many full- time and part-time programs that you can choose from. They range from Early Childhood Education to Welding Techniques.

Collège Boréal

Collège Boréal is our local Francophone College of Applied Arts and Technology. With a main campus located in Sudbury, they also have additional campuses in Northern and Central South Western Ontario.

Additionally, Collège Boréal offers immigration services and employment services in French.
