Libraries are public buildings within communities.
In Essex County we have the Essex County Library system, and in Windsor we have the Windsor Public Library system. Each of these has many different locations.
At libraries you can:
- Borrow books, movies, music, magazines
- Access downloadable Ebooks, Eaudiobooks and Emusic
- Use computers
- Have access to the internet
- Use photocopiers for a minimal cost
- Use fax machines
- Take part in programs for children, teenagers or adults
- Learn new things
- Meet people
- Attend workshops

International Students

Permanent Residents and Convention Refugees are eligible for Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) or Cours de language pour immigrants au Canada (CLIC) offered by local Settlement Agencies.
To access LINC or CLIC courses, you first need to have your language levels assessed by the Language Assessment and Resource Centre.
